UK Company Insolvencies on the Increase

According to official data from the Insolvency Service, the number of businesses entering liquidation in England & Wales is on the increase.
In the third quarter of 2011, approximately 4200 businesses entered liquidation, a figure 6.5% higher than over the same period in 2010 and the highest since the final quarter of 2009.
Whilst the number of businesses entering administration dropped slightly from quarter two (695) to quarter three (673), the quarter three figure still highlights an increase of 6.3% from the same period in 2010.
Shown to be at 206 in quarter three, the number of businesses entering CVA's is at it's highest level in five quarters and is 29% up compared with the same period in 2010.
