Investigation

The Insolvency Act 1986 provided Insolvency Practitioners with extensive investigative powers to uncover information and recover assets, none of which are available in normal investigations.

ICS specialises in Investigation and Recovery to ensure the return for creditors is maximised.  Specific examples of areas of recovery are

Bankruptcy

It may be that an individual has preferred either a member of the family or friends above all other creditors or may have dissipated assets by way of a gift to those people.  These preferences or gifts are only recoverable through bankruptcy proceedings.

Liquidation

Directors may have preferred a particular supplier with the long term objective of dealing with that supplier after re-establishing themselves in a similar line of business at a later time

Directors may have also misapplied company monies or may have continued to trade whilst knowingly insolvent and by doing so creating a worse position for the creditors and the directors themselves.

ICS are able to provide the necessary investigative and asset recovery skills in pursuing such claims in order to restore the position of creditors.

Creditor Support Service

We support our clients in all aspects of insolvency procedures including representation and attendance at creditor's meetings anywhere in the UK, free of charge.

A report outlining the key points of the meeting will be produced and will provide an indication of the likely dividend prospects.
